Olam Agri-AFP Set to Commence Nationwide Fish Farmers Forum at Cluster Level

Olam Agri-AFP is set to commence its nationwide cluster-level engagement programme for fish farmers tagged “Olam Agri AFP Fish Farmers Forum” beginning from Monday, May 11th, 2026.

The initiative is expected to bring together fish farmers, aquaculture stakeholders, industry experts and agribusiness operators across various clusters nationwide to discuss sustainable aquaculture development and improved fish production practices.

Recall that in February 2026, Olam Agri-AFP activated a nationwide farm routine engagement programme focused on product awareness and upgrading at farm levels across Nigeria. The latest forum is regarded as a continuation of the company’s efforts to strengthen interactions with fish farmers and enhance productivity within the aquaculture sector.

According to information contained in promotional flyers released by the company’s sales representatives, the forum will provide participants with opportunities to interact with professionals in the aquaculture industry while gaining practical knowledge on quality fish feed management, fish health, water management practices and emerging trends in fish farming.

The programme is also expected to foster stronger collaboration among fish farmers, input suppliers, financial institutions and agricultural extension service providers with the aim of promoting sustainable growth across Nigeria’s aquaculture value chain.

Olam Agri-AFP noted that the Fish Farmers Forum forms part of its commitment to supporting local fish farmers through knowledge sharing, innovation and sustainable farming practices capable of enhancing food security and economic development.

Participants at the forum are expected to benefit from technical sessions, networking opportunities and practical discussions focused on improving fish yield, increasing productivity and expanding market access for aquaculture businesses.

Industry observers noted that the Fish Farmers Forum has continued to serve as a strategic platform for empowering fish farmers across the country while encouraging investment, innovation and improved practices within Nigeria’s rapidly growing aquaculture industry.
