The newly appointed Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the National Centre for Agricultural Mechanisation (NCAM), Ilorin, Kwara State, Engineer Julius Olumuyiwa Oloro, has conducted a visitation tour of the Centre’s facilities as part of efforts to familiarise himself with its operations following his assumption of office.

Engineer Oloro, who resumed duty on Monday, August 3, 2026, toured key departments, workshops, laboratories and other operational units of the Centre to assess ongoing activities, inspect facilities and interact with members of staff.

The visitation provided the Executive Director with the opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge of the Centre’s operations and identify areas that require attention to strengthen NCAM’s mandate of promoting agricultural mechanisation, research and technology development in Nigeria.

During the tour, Engineer Oloro reaffirmed his commitment to working with staff and relevant stakeholders to reposition the Centre and enhance its contribution to the Federal Government’s drive to improve agricultural productivity, food security and mechanised farming.

He succeeded the late Dr A.R. Kamal, who passed away in January 2026.

The National Centre for Agricultural Mechanisation, located in Ilorin, Kwara State, is Nigeria’s premier institution for research, development, testing and adaptation of agricultural machinery and equipment aimed at advancing mechanised agriculture nationwide.
