FUNAAB ALUMNI GLOBAL PRESIDENT ENGAGES INVESTORS ON FARMING HUB EXPANSION DRIVE.

The Global President of the Alumni Association of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAABAAS), Otunba Bolaji Gbadamosi, received potential investors from Agro Park Farming Hub, Ogun State.

The visiting team, Mr. Sola Olunowo and Mr. Micheal Anibi, was received warmly by the Global President, accompanied by the Alumni Ex-Officio II, Mr. Solaja Korede, and Global Director of Publicity, Mr. Azeez Sodeeq.

As part of the strategic tour, the delegation was taken round the University’s Solar Power Station, a major infrastructure asset equipped with over 6,000 solar panels, an installed capacity of 3MW across 8.3 acres, and 2MW battery capacity. They also visited the FUNAAB Dam at Mawuko, another critical resource supporting agricultural sustainability.

Speaking during the visit, Otunba Gbadamosi emphasized that both the Solar Power Station and the FUNAAB Dam are highly strategic assets for the success of the Alumni Farming Hub, particularly in ensuring stable power supply and effective irrigation for large-scale agricultural operations.

The Agro Park team expressed admiration at the scale of infrastructure and the vision behind the Alumni Venture, describing the initiative as impressive and forward-looking. Their positive response strongly signals the possibility of another major investor joining the FUNAAB Alumni Venture fold.

The initial 2,020 acres fully subscribed and the newly acquired 4,000 acres already gaining strong investor interest, the Alumni Farming Hub continues to position itself as a leading model for agribusiness innovation, sustainability, and alumni-driven investment in Nigeria.
