The Bank of Agriculture (BOA) has launched its Agribusiness Impact Documentary Series, showcasing the stories of farmers, agribusiness owners and communities whose businesses are contributing to the growth and development of Nigeria’s agricultural value chain.
The documentary series is designed to highlight the impact of agricultural financing on businesses across Nigeria, particularly how access to finance can create opportunities for farmers and agribusinesses to expand production, strengthen operations and respond to growing market demand.
The first edition of the series takes viewers to Kado Fish Market in Abuja, where fish farmers and agribusiness owners are building and expanding their businesses with financing support from the Bank of Agriculture.
Mr Ayo Sotinrin said According to the documentary, access to finance has enabled beneficiaries to increase their production capacity, improve their day-to-day business operations and respond more effectively to demand for their products.
The impact of the financing extends beyond individual farms and businesses, supporting employment opportunities and strengthening the wider network of enterprises that depend on the fish value chain.
The documentary provides an on-the-ground perspective of how agricultural financing translates into real business activities, moving beyond financial figures to showcase the people, businesses and communities benefiting from access to capital.
By documenting these experiences, the BOA Agribusiness Impact Documentary Series seeks to demonstrate what becomes possible when agricultural finance reaches businesses with the capacity and ambition to grow.
The initiative also highlights the interconnected nature of Nigeria’s agricultural value chains, where increased production can create opportunities for traders, processors, transporters, input suppliers, marketers and other businesses operating around farming communities and agricultural markets.
Through the series, the Bank of Agriculture continues to spotlight the role of accessible agricultural finance in supporting enterprise growth, strengthening value chains and contributing to a more productive and resilient agricultural sector in Nigeria.
