The Latin American and Caribbean Aquaculture Congress (LACQUA26) has announced Dr. Luis Alejandro Vinatea Arana as one of its distinguished Plenary Speakers for the 2026 congress, scheduled to hold from October 27–30, 2026, in San Salvador, El Salvador.

Dr. Luis Alejandro Vinatea Arana has been confirmed as a plenary speaker for LACQUA26, one of the leading aquaculture conferences in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The congress will take place October 27–30, 2026, in San Salvador, El Salvador.
The event is organized by the Latin American and Caribbean Chapter of the World Aquaculture Society (LACC-WAS) in partnership with the Salvadoran Authority for the Blue Economy (ASEA) and supported by the Government of El Salvador.
Dr. Vinatea is a renowned aquaculture scientist with extensive experience in aquaculture research, shrimp farming, recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS), and sustainable fish production.
His plenary lecture is titled “Economic Efficiency of Electric Aeration in Large Aquaculture Production Units.”
The presentation will focus on optimizing electric aeration systems to improve productivity, increase energy efficiency, reduce operational costs and enhance the environmental and economic sustainability of aquaculture production.
LACQUA26 will bring together researchers, producers, industry leaders, students, universities, government agencies and international organizations to exchange knowledge, showcase innovations and strengthen collaboration in the aquaculture sector.
