AFAN AKWA IBOM ELECTS OKON ETEOBONG AMAH AS PUBLICITY SECRETARY.

The All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN), Akwa Ibom State Chapter, has elected Mr. Okon Eteobong Amah as its new Publicity Secretary, marking what he described as a renewed chapter of service, advocacy, and visibility for farmers and agribusiness stakeholders in the state.

In an official statement announcing his election, Amah expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in him and reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening awareness around agricultural development and opportunities across Akwa Ibom State.

“Grateful. Honoured. Ready to serve,” Amah stated while acknowledging the support and encouragement he received following his emergence as Publicity Secretary of the association.

According to him, agriculture goes beyond farming and remains a critical driver of food security, employment, innovation, empowerment, and economic growth.

“Agriculture is more than farming — it is food, jobs, innovation, empowerment, and the future of our economy,” he said.

The newly elected spokesperson pledged to amplify the voices and contributions of farmers while promoting the outstanding work being done daily by agricultural producers and agribusiness operators across the state.

He further emphasized the importance of increasing public awareness on agricultural opportunities, especially for young people and emerging agripreneurs, to foster inclusive growth within the sector.

Amah appreciated members of the association and supporters for the trust placed in him, expressing optimism about working collaboratively to advance the goals of AFAN in Akwa Ibom State.

“Together, we grow,” he added.

The All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) remains a key umbrella body representing the interests of farmers nationwide, advocating for policies and initiatives aimed at strengthening agricultural productivity, food security and rural development.
