Good day distinguished leaders, colleagues, partners and members of the World Aquaculture Society African Chapter – West Africa Region.
I am deeply honored and sincerely grateful for the confidence reposed in me through my appointment as Secretariat Coordinator for the West Africa Region of the World Aquaculture Society (WAS).
I would like to specially appreciate our Regional Director, Prof. Daniel Adjei Boateng, for this opportunity to serve. I also extend my gratitude to the leadership and members of the Society for their continuous dedication to advancing aquaculture development across our region.
This appointment is not just a recognition of past efforts but also a call to greater responsibility, commitment and service. I accept this role with humility, dedication and a strong determination to contribute meaningfully to the growth and strengthening of the Secretariat and the entire West African aquaculture community.
As Secretariat Coordinator, I look forward to working collaboratively with all member countries, institutions, researchers, farmers, youth groups, private sector stakeholders and development partners to promote unity, knowledge sharing, innovation and sustainable aquaculture development in our region.
West Africa possesses enormous potential in fisheries and aquaculture and through stronger regional cooperation, effective communication, youth inclusion and strategic partnerships we can build a more resilient and prosperous aquaculture sector that benefits our people and future generations.
I assure the leadership of my commitment to effective coordination, professionalism, transparency and teamwork throughout my tenure. Together, we will continue to strengthen the vision and impact of the World Aquaculture Society in West Africa and beyond.
Once again, thank you for this great honor and responsibility. I look forward to serving with excellence and dedication.
God bless the World Aquaculture Society.
God bless West Africa.
Thank you all.
