The President of the National Association of Nigerian Students(NANS), Comrade Olushola Oladoja alongside members of the association’s executive council yesterday paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Minister of Agriculture and Food security, Sen.Abubakar Kyari CON to present an award in recognition of his contributions to youth development and agricultural transformation.

The NANS delegation commended the Minister’s Commitment to empowering young Nigerians through agriculture and his efforts to reposition the sector as an innovative and technology-driven space that is increasingly attractive to youth participation.
They also acknowledge his continued enagagement with students and ongoing reforms aimed at strengthening agricultural education and research institutions.
Oladoja noted that Kyari’s policies and initiatives have continued to inspire youth participation in agriculture, while also driving reforms aimed at improving food security and boosting productivity across the country. He added that the honour reflects NANS’ acknowledgment of leaders who demonstrate commitment to empowering young people and fostering national development.
In his response, Kyari expressed appreciation to the student body for the recognition, reaffirming the Federal Government’s dedication to implementing policies that will attract more youths into agriculture and strengthen the nation’s food systems.
He emphasized that youth inclusion remains critical to achieving sustainable food security and driving national development.
The event highlighted, the growing collaboration between government institutions and youth stakeholders in advancing sustainable agricultural development and ensuring inclusive economic growth.
