Her outstanding performance earned her a cash prize of ₦500,000, further highlighting the university’s commitment to academic excellence and professional development.

The achievement was celebrated on October 8th, 2026, when a delegation from the university’s College of Veterinary Medicine (COLVET), led by its Dean, Professor Michael Takeet, visited the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Babatunde Kehinde, to present the award plaque and appreciate the university management for its support.

He explained that Miss Kehinde participated in one of the two phases of the competition before emerging as the overall first runner-up.

Presenting the award plaque to the Vice-Chancellor, former Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Professor Morenike Dipeolu, expressed appreciation for the management’s continued support for the college.

She noted that the university had consistently provided the necessary backing for its academic and professional initiatives.

In his response, Professor Kehinde expressed delight at the achievement and commended the College of Veterinary Medicine for its efforts in promoting the university’s reputation.
