The World Aquaculture Society (WAS) has partnered with AgriGens Media to strengthen the promotion and visibility of its activities, events and initiatives within the aquaculture sector.
The partnership was formalised on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, between Mr Blessing Mapfumo, Executive Officer, World Aquaculture Society and Bashir Abdulrasaq Owolabi, Chief Executive Officer of AgriGens Media.
Under the partnership, AgriGens Media will provide advertising and media support for the World Aquaculture Society, while WAS will be able to use the AgriGens Media name and logo as its media partner.
AgriGens Media will also promote WAS events and activities through its website, newsletters and social media platforms, as well as provide media coverage to enhance the visibility of the society’s programmes and initiatives.
The collaboration is expected to create greater awareness of developments, innovations, opportunities and events in the aquaculture sector, while strengthening communication between industry stakeholders and the wider public.
The partnership also underscores the importance of strategic media collaboration in advancing aquaculture development, promoting sustainable fish production, encouraging investment and facilitating knowledge sharing.
Through the partnership, both organisations will leverage their respective platforms and networks to amplify conversations around aquaculture and highlight initiatives contributing to the growth and development of the sector.
