The Federal Ministry of Livestock Development has inaugurated its Performance Management System (PMS) Champions to drive a culture of excellence, accountability and improved service delivery across the Ministry.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony in Abuja, the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Chinyere Ijeoma Akujobi, described the Performance Management System as a key Federal Civil Service reform designed to boost productivity, strengthen accountability and align staff performance with government priorities.
She said the champions were selected for their ability to lead change and support the successful implementation of the performance management reform across departments and units.
Akujobi urged them to serve as ambassadors of the initiative by guiding colleagues, promoting compliance and encouraging a results-driven work culture.
She stressed that the champions must have a sound understanding of the PMS framework, as they will provide support and clarification to staff on the implementation of the system.
The Permanent Secretary also assured the champions of the Ministry’s continued support, including the necessary tools and guidance to enable them to carry out their responsibilities effectively.
