FUNAAB ALUMNI UNVEILS “THE HIGHFLYERS” COMPENDIUM AT THE 27-28TH ANNUAL GLOBAL CONVENTION AND LECTURE SERIES.

The Alumni Association of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has officially launched its maiden compendium titled “The Highflyers” during its 27th and 28th Annual Convention and Lecture Series. The event, held on May 2nd 2026, at the Senate Red Chamber of the university, brought together distinguished alumni, academic leaders and stakeholders from across Nigeria and beyond.

The unveiling of “The Highflyers” marks a significant milestone in the history of the FUNAAB Alumni Association, as it seeks to document the achievements, legacy and contributions of its members to national development and global impact.

In his address, the Global President of the association Ambassador Bolaji Gbadamosi described the publication as a reflection of excellence, resilience and the enduring spirit of FUNAAB graduates. He noted that the compendium would serve as both a historical record and a source of inspiration for current students and emerging professionals.

The maiden edition of the publication features a rich and well-structured table of contents, beginning with the Global President’s foreword which sets the tone for the vision and purpose of the alumni body. It also showcases a collection of images of past presidents, highlighting the leadership journey and evolution of the association over the years.

Further sections of the compendium provide detailed information on global officers, offering insight into the current leadership structure and administrative framework of the alumni network. A comprehensive historical background of the UNAAB/FUNAAB Alumni Association is also included, tracing its origins, growth and transformation into a vibrant global community.

The publication also contains goodwill messages from prominent personalities and partners, reflecting the strong network and influence of the alumni body. In addition, individual members’ profiles are featured, celebrating the diverse achievements and professional milestones of alumni across various sectors.

The compendium concludes with an appreciation section, recognizing individuals and organizations whose support and contributions have been instrumental to the success of the association and the publication.

Attendees at the convention commended the initiative, describing it as a commendable effort to preserve institutional memory, foster unity among members and promote the values of excellence associated with FUNAAB.

The launch of “The Highflyers” is expected to further strengthen alumni engagement and position the FUNAAB Alumni Association as a key driver of mentorship, networking and development within Nigeria’s agricultural and academic landscape.
